Unique Time' Designs has transitioned so much this year as a business. For those of you that are just getting to know us. We started as a small custom shop on Etsy. We now have our own fabric lines, fabric manufactures, kid's apparel lines, sewing classes throughout the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area and worldwide through our online teaching options. With each person we come into contact with we want you to leave feeling that something was different. We aren't an ordinary seamstress/tailoring shop. Our goal is more heavenly minded. We want our customers and students to know we are here praying for you and doing our best to provide you with the absolute best customer service and exceptional products you can't find anywhere else. I purposely research the best fabric bases and designs available. I often buy custom designs to ensure you get that much more of a unique article. How many people can say they do that? Did you know... we DO NOT mass produce even in our kid's apparel lines- the newest addition to Unique Time' Designs family! Let me tell you about it.

Man alive am I excited! I had a running list of bucket list items I wanted to accomplish at the beginning of this year and it's been so exciting to see things flow together. God has absolutely given me the desires of my heart! One of the big ones was my own kid's apparel line. I'm a mom of three and have found clothing with inappropriate messaging, too immodest or frankly not remotely cute. I wanted to create some fun options for parents and also offer custom tailor/seamstress options. I LOVE doing customs! I pour my heart and soul into each item I make trying to get the personality of the child down with in the make. So it's happened! I have contracted graphic designers, found fabric manufacturers both stateside and overseas and begun sewing up a storm. My husband even surprised me with a cover stitch combo machine earlier this summer. My world it sews like a dream. Cover stitch machines give you that nice finished hem line on the bottom of your clothes. I legit have a running kid's line now! So exciting.
My first fashion line was done in this rainbow rabbits prints. This print was very dear to my heart. As many of you have followed our story you know we have lost four babies this past year, seven in total. I worked with a fertility clinic for over a year and have been poked and prodded by more doctors than I care to count. To honor my babies and those in the community I created the "Rainbow Baby" line. What is a rainbow baby? A rainbow baby is a term used to honor the birth of a baby after a miscarriage or stillbirth. You do not love the second child anymore than the previous, but honor them as well. My Lydia is my rainbow baby after my first three losses. I hope there is another rainbow baby in my future, but if not I will celebrate with those who get to welcome their babies into this world.
How does the process work? I am listing fabric options and my latest creations in my VIP boutique facebook group. You can message or email me saying something like Hey Dannelle I love this print, can you make me a size 3 months baby sleeper and hoodie in it? I need it scratch resistant and can I change out the neckline and cuff colors? (More than likely yes to all of this!) Turn around time varies on the fabric availability/shipping times. I will let you know prior to purchase and keep you updated the entire time with photos! Prior fabric options may still be available so just ask. I also am happy to custom design a specific fabric to your liking and get it printed. So many cool options the only thing limiting you is your creativity!
What are the costs? They must be outrageous for custom tailored clothes right? Ironically no. I try to stay competitive with other boutiques. Baby sleepers go from $40-45 depending on the amount of extra details, grow with me hoodies $40 on up and so on. For customs I calculate my fabric prices and sew times into my designs. I will always be up front with you. Some custom fabric prices can range $20-30 a yard. I will do my best to meet your budget giving you a variety of options to get exactly what you are looking for!
With all that being said I am really excited to announce you will get a chance to shop some of my creations in person! I have some really neat things up my sleeve. I am only making a few pieces per fabric design- my way to help your recipient feel unique. Sizing will be from newborn on up. I will have girl, boy and gender neutral options available. Options will include sibling sets, grow with me clothes (GWM) -GWM covers 3 sizes helping you get more bang for your buck! For instance 12months-3 years old is a GWM size. This is a ticketed event. In addition to my booth, shopper can browse and shop 30 different vendors. Vendors are both small businesses like mine and consigners. You are bound to find a good deal!
