I love a good redemption story!
A few years ago I painted a piece in which this quilt is based off of. I wanted to encourage those around me with some Biblical truth. You are God's masterpiece! The Bible is full of snippets on the God of the universe designing you! His beloved creation. Yet we often forget that and allow things or others to bring us down. We all know someone who is hurting, struggling with self-esteem or in need of a pick me up! So I designed this special quilt.

This year I was attending a woman's conference when I heard the guest speaker presenting about the ministry she was heading up. She helped women come out of the sex industry and gain their confidence back in the Lord. As I listened to the ways her team worked I was amazed at the love she poured out. This painting kept coming to my mind. Suddenly the lady announced that her team often brought quilts to the ladies in the strip clubs prior to them dancing. It was a small gesture of love that allowed them to feel safe prior to being vulnerable. That's when I knew I had to somehow make this quilt!
I began researching material that could work. Every watercolor/tye dye option I came across just didn't seem right! I was beginning to think I wasn't going to be able to make this quilt until I learned about watercoloring fabric. Together with the help of two dear friends we painted up a storm. On FABRIC! The result turned out fabulous! I then set to work cutting and piecing each part together. I really felt like this quilt was meant for someone special in need of a reminder. I didn't want to delay any longer. I created the flowers and finished it up. Prior to moving, I was able to present the quilt to the director of 99one in Syracuse, NY. She automatically thought of a girl that it would be perfect for! Unique Time' Designs is going to continue assisting this ministry. As I presented this quilt to the founder, I thought of how much I personally need this message. When I'm just not feeling that pretty or valuable. Surely there is someone out there like me! So I decided to open this quilt design up to others through our business.
Each piece of this quilt will be handmade by me. You can choose other colors aside from the featured quilt. The message will be the same in a matching color! Feel free to include the recipients name we will gladly add it to her quilt. I add 3D ruffled flowers in the corners for a fun feminine touch :)
Quilts will arrive with gift wrapping! Matching prints available separately in various sizes.
