Fabric & Patterns 101 2/17/2022 6:00-8:00 p.m.

“You can't buy happiness, but you can buy fabric, and that's kind of the same thing!”  In this two-part class, you will learn different fabric types, how they are made, what you can make with them, and the proper needles and threads to use when working with them. Avoid the costly mistake many beginners make, by buying pretty fabric that proves useless for the sewing project they have. In the second part of the class, you will learn how to read the most common sewing patterns and be shown some of the newest trends in patterns. The instructor will also share knowledge of tools when using patterns and hacks. This class is perfect for the beginner or the person who has sewn before, but may need some refreshing. Fabric swatches are provided. An optional “sewing junk journal” will be for sale at class for $30. If you have one, from a previous class, bring it along!

Students aged 11 and up are welcome to register for this class when a parent or guardian is also registered and attends the same class

Class fee $27 at registration. A supply fee of $5 is due and payable to the instructor the day of class.
